Tran Bao Quoc, nicknamed "Godfather", was caught red-handed by Da Nang police while transporting drugs for sale.
On October 14, Da Nang City Police said that the unit had just coordinated with Hoa Nhon Cua O Traffic Police Station to catch Tran Bao Quoc (47 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City, nicknamed "Godfather") illegally transporting drugs.
Quoc was caught red-handed on the evening of October 12, on National Highway 14B (through Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District). The seized evidence included 1kg of ketamine, 1.2kg of powder suspected to be used to mix the drug "happy water", about 200 bags used to contain "happy water"...
According to the police, when the car carrying Quoc and the drugs passed the highway toll station towards National Highway 14B, the detectives immediately approached.
At this time, the driver did not obey the command and accelerated the car to overtake. The detectives quickly suppressed and controlled Quoc.
During the verification, the police discovered that Tran Bao Quoc was a prominent suspect, in the “crosshairs” of the police in Ho Chi Minh City. Quoc had shifted his activities to the Central region to avoid being tracked and monitored.
Quoc connected with people from other provinces, mainly in Da Nang and Thua Thien - Hue, to transport and consume drugs.
Despite the clear evidence, the suspect still refused to admit his wrongdoing. However, with the documents collected by the police, Quoc had to admit his actions.
