While Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac was away supervising the imperial examinations in Thanh Hoa province, his wife unfortunately fell seriously ill at home. Despite the dedicated care and treatment from her son, Nguyen Sinh Cung, and neighbors, due to the severity of her illness and her weakened health, Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan passed away on the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Rat (February 10, 1901).

She was brought by her relatives, villagers, and her uncle Nguyen Sinh Cung to her final resting place at Tam Tang Mountain, part of the Ngu Binh mountain range along the Perfume River in the imperial city of Hue.
