Solemn Ceremony of the Ông Hoàng Mười Temple Festival 2025
On the morning of November 29th, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen commune organized the Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival 2025. This is a traditional cultural activity held annually on the 9th and 10th days of the 10th lunar month.

The Ông Hoàng Mười Temple Festival dates back hundreds of years, formed alongside the history of the temple, which was built during the late Lê Dynasty (17th century). Previously, the Ông Hoàng Mười Temple Festival was held annually on the 15th day of the 3rd lunar month.
Since 1995, after the temple was restored, the temple festival has been moved to the 9th and 10th of October in the lunar calendar each year, the anniversary of the passing of Quan Hoang Muoi, the New Rice Festival/Double Tenth Festival/Lower Nguyên Festival, the festival of those who practice spirit medium rituals; a day that people believe is a day of completeness and fulfillment, bringing many good things.

The Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage (Decision No. 2970/QD-BVHTTDL dated August 27, 2019).

The Ông Hoàng Mười Temple Festival is organized to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the nation; and at the same time to commemorate and express gratitude for the merits of Quan Hoàng Mười. Legend says that he is the reincarnation of famous historical figures closely associated with the Nghệ An region: Lý Nhật Quang, Lê Khôi, Nguyễn Xí, Nguyễn Duy Lạc…, all accomplished officials who made significant contributions to the nation and its people.

Through the activities of the festival, we also aim to foster love for our homeland and country; educate all levels of society about the tradition of remembering our roots; and create a healthy cultural and spiritual environment, as well as a vibrant space for cultural exchange, physical education, and sports, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

This is also an opportunity to widely promote the image of the Ong Hoang Muoi Temple Festival and the value of the historical site to the people in the region and tourists from all over, contributing to the promotion of local culture and tourism development.
