Presenting 214 gifts to ethnic minorities in Anh Son

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 15, the Buddhist Association of Tinh That Chon Nguyen in Da Nang city coordinated with the Red Cross Association of Nghe An province to present 214 gifts to ethnic minorities in Tho Son commune (Anh Son district).

The delegation visited and presented 214 gifts to ethnic minority households in Tho Son commune. Each gift included: rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, fish sauce, MSG, candy, salt and more than 400 sets of clothes. In addition, the delegation also presented 1,000 notebooks and 200 pens to students of Tho Son Primary and Secondary School. The total value of the gifts was 100 million VND, all donated by Buddhists of Tinh That Chon Nguyen in Da Nang city.

Tho Son commune is mostly inhabited by Thai ethnic people living far from the district center with people facing many difficulties in life. The mobilization of donations and gifts on this occasion contributes to sharing some of the difficulties for the poor so that they have more conditions to improve their lives.
