Presenting 50 gifts to Agent Orange victims and policy families

On the morning of August 5, the Vinh City Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a meeting, discussion, and presented gifts to a number of war invalids, families of policy beneficiaries, and Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Vinh City army and people's first victory in the battle and the 63rd anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam.

According to statistics, Vinh city currently has over 3,000 people exposed to Agent Orange, of which 1,036 people receive monthly subsidies and 2,000 people do not receive them.

At the seminar, delegates reviewed the 60-year victory of the army and people of Vinh city in defeating the US imperialist air force. They recalled the painful memories of the war in which the US army sprayed toxic chemicals on the battlefield in South Vietnam. They also provided some basic information about the Association's activities.

The Vinh City Association of Agent Orange Victims calls for and hopes for the whole community to join hands in caring for the victims as well as their children; thereby, promoting the spirit of mutual love and support, "Love others as you love yourself", adding strength and will to the victims to overcome their circumstances and fate, have a stable life, and integrate into the community.

On this occasion, the Vinh City Association of Agent Orange Victims presented 50 gifts to Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances in the area, each worth 1 million VND.
