50 gift packages were presented to victims of Agent Orange and families entitled to preferential policies.
On the morning of August 5th, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vinh City organized a meeting, discussion, and gift-giving event for a number of war invalids, families of policy beneficiaries, and Agent Orange victims with particularly difficult circumstances, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the first victory of the Vinh City army and people in the war and the 63rd anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam.

According to statistics, Vinh City currently has over 3,000 people exposed to Agent Orange, of which 1,036 receive monthly allowances and 2,000 do not.
At the seminar, delegates recalled the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Vinh City army and people against the American imperialist air force. They also reminisced about the painful memories of the war in which the US military sprayed chemical weapons on the battlefields of South Vietnam. Information on some basic aspects of the Association's activities was also provided.
The Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Vinh City calls for and hopes for the collective efforts of the entire community to care for the victims and their children; thereby, upholding the spirit of mutual support and compassion, "Love others as you love yourself," and giving strength and willpower to the victims to overcome their circumstances and fate, have a stable life, and integrate into the community.

On this occasion, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Vinh City presented 50 gift packages to Agent Orange victims with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, each package worth 1 million VND.
