Sharing experiences in treating gastrointestinal diseases.
(Baonghean.vn) - From November 12-14, the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology organized the 21st National Conference on Gastroenterology in Vinh City.
Attending the conference were Professor Ta Long, President of the Vietnam Gastroenterology Association; Professor Nguyen Khanh Trach, President of the Vietnam Internal Medicine Association; Associate Professor Trinh Tuan Dung, President of the Vietnam Society of Pathology and Cytology; and over 700 delegates including professors and doctors from Vietnam and abroad in the field of gastroenterology.
Representing Nghe An province was Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

During the conference, delegates discussed key topics such as: upper gastrointestinal endoscopy; gastroesophageal reflux disease; early detection of gastric cancer; early management of gastric cancer; submucosal resection for the treatment of precancerous lesions and gastrointestinal cancers associated with H. pylori infection; searching for resistant causes and selecting highly effective treatment regimens for early-stage cancer; small bowel exploration, constipation, and cardiac sphincter spasm; treatment of necrotizing pancreatitis; and the development of endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound in the diagnosis and intervention of gastrointestinal diseases. The conference also updated the epidemiological characteristics of gastroesophageal reflux disease patients in Vietnam; hepatitis, cirrhosis, etc.

The conference provides an opportunity for scientists to update, disseminate, and enhance scientific and technical knowledge for doctors both within and outside the field, in order to better serve the detection and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
