Scholarships awarded between Slovakia and Vietnam to underprivileged students in Nghe An province.
On September 14th, the Nghe An Provincial Children's Protection Fund, in collaboration with the Slovakia-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (SVCC), organized a scholarship program for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Kim Lien and Bich Hao communes.
Accordingly, 10 underprivileged students (5 from each commune) were awarded scholarships worth 12 million VND/student/year. This support comes from the "Scholarship Support Project for Children in Difficult Circumstances in Nghe An Province, 2025-2027" funded by SVCC, with a total support of 36 million VND/student over 3 years.
The students selected are those from disadvantaged families who have consistently strived for academic excellence, achieving good or excellent results for many years. The financial support will help them cover tuition fees, purchase books and school supplies, thereby easing the financial burden on their families and enabling them to continue their education.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Nghe An Provincial Children's Protection Fund emphasized: The support of sponsors not only provides practical material assistance but also serves as a great source of motivation for the children to continue striving. We hope that this program will contribute to spreading the social responsibility of the community and businesses towards the care, education, and protection of children.
The scholarship awarding program in Bich Hao and Kim Lien communes took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving many positive impressions among the sponsors, local authorities, families, and students.
