The Vallet Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 through the voluntary contributions of Dr. Odon Vallet, a French Doctor of Law and Professor of Religious History at the Sorbonne University, France. The Vallet Scholarship is a large-scale, non-governmental scholarship that has been operating for the past 25 years, supporting outstanding students in Africa, Vietnam, and Vietnamese students in France.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Esperan Padonou, Director of the Vallet Scholarship Fund, said: In Vietnam, to date, the Vallet scholarship has awarded over 55,000 scholarships, totaling nearly 500 billion VND, to outstanding students across the country, especially those from ethnic minorities and SOS villages; the scholarship amount has increased steadily every year in both quantity and value. Among them, more than 1,000 students have become excellent doctors. The scholarship has contributed to helping students pursue their studies and has also promoted the quality of education in Vietnam in recent years.

Professor Odon Vallet stated that he will maintain this scholarship for at least another 100 years. Each year, the Foundation will increase the scholarship value, hoping to further motivate young people to contribute more to the development of the country.
