(Baonghean.vn) - On July 21st, at Ben Nghe Port in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Phan Dinh Tue - Chairman of the Nghe Tinh Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City - handed over more than 290 tons of food and supplies donated by the people of Nghe An to the people of Ho Chi Minh City during the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the handover ceremony, Ms. To Thi Bich Chau, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, expressed her gratitude to the people of Nghe An province for their concern, support, and sharing of goods, food, and manpower.Ho Chi Minh Cityduring the pandemicCovid-19.

After being sorted, these goods will be distributed to districts and counties for onward delivery to kitchens in quarantine areas, Covid treatment hospitals, and disadvantaged people in the city as soon as possible.

These are the goods donated from the "For the City Named After Uncle Ho" program launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.

In order to facilitate the return of people from Nghe An province who are living, studying, and working in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Nghe An province recently sent a letter requesting the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and relevant agencies of both localities to coordinate in welcoming Nghe An citizens back home in the safest and most thoughtful way possible.
