Mến is the adopted daughter of Mrs. Đinh Thị Nam and her husband. Mr. Khương, Mrs. Nam's husband, was seriously ill and passed away a long time ago. In 2015, Mrs. Nam also passed away, leaving Mến to live alone in a dilapidated house. She is currently in 9th grade at Thanh Mai Secondary School.

Given Mến's difficult circumstances, the Fatherland Front Committee and the Red Cross Society of Thanh Chương district have supported the construction of a two-room brick house with a tiled roof, covering an area of ​​42 square meters, for her.
