As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, Cao Van Tuan is currently an 8th-grade student at Hung Dong Secondary School in Nghi Loc district. Tuan is fatherless; in 2016, when he was only 13 years old, his mother, Vu Thi Yen, died suddenly from a stroke.
Since then, Tuan has been living with his nearly 80-year-old grandmother and his uncle, who suffers from intellectual disability and mobility impairment. Due to these difficult circumstances, Tuan asked his grandmother for permission to quit school and work part-time to earn money to help support his disabled uncle.
"After learning about Tuan's situation published in Nghe An Newspaper, we unanimously agreed to support him with 10 million VND so that he wouldn't have to drop out of school," shared Mr. Nguyen Van Chung, President of the Vietnam Drivers' Association.
