As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, Cao Van Tuan is currently an 8th grade student at Hung Dong Secondary School, Nghi Loc District. Tuan has no father. In 2016, when he was only 13 years old, his mother, Vu Thi Yen, suffered a stroke and suddenly passed away.
Since then, Tuan has lived with his nearly 80-year-old grandmother and his mentally and physically disabled uncle. Due to difficult circumstances, Tuan asked his grandmother to let him quit school and work to earn money to help his grandmother raise his disabled uncle.
“After learning about Tuan’s situation published in Nghe An Newspaper, we agreed to support him with 10 million VND so that he would not drop out of school,” said Nguyen Van Chung, President of the Vietnam Drivers Association.
