Giving Tet gifts to the poor in local areas.

*In Do Luong,On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020 (Year of the Rat) and the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam – Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the District Party Committee – visited Xuan Son and Minh Son communes to present gifts from Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue to families who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution.

The District Party Secretary presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Trong Thap, a disabled veteran (category 2/4), whose family is in difficult circumstances in Xuan Son commune.bMs. Tran Thi Quon is a relative of martyr Nguyen Trong Mai, and her family is in difficult circumstances in Minh Son commune.

At the homes of war invalids and martyrs, the district leader inquired about their health and extended New Year greetings, expressing deep gratitude to the families who had made significant contributions to the revolutionary cause.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 10 gift packages to policy beneficiary households in Quynh Phuong ward and Quynh Lien commune; each gift package is worth 500,000 VND.

Earlier, the Provincial Farmers' Association visited, presented gifts, and extended New Year greetings to 30 disadvantaged families and poor farmer members in Yen Thang commune, Tuong Duong district. At the same time, the Association launched a campaign encouraging officials and members throughout the province to help the poor celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year joyfully and warmly through practical actions.

*Do Luong District Red Cross SocietyOrganizing the program "Tet of Love, Spring of the Year of the Rat 2020".

The "Tet of Love" program is one of the activities organized annually by the Do Luong District Red Cross Society during the preparations for the traditional Lunar New Year. Through this program, the Society mobilizes and collects donations from benevolent organizations and individuals to help the poor celebrate Tet.

This year's Tet Love Program for the Year of the Rat (Canh Ty) distributed 265 Tet gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor and disadvantaged households, elderly people living alone, orphaned and disabled children, and poor students who have excelled in their studies throughout the district.

These are extremely meaningful gifts, demonstrating the national spirit of mutual support and solidarity, providing timely encouragement and assistance to poor households so they can celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Rat happily and warmly.

*4th Military Region CommandA gift-giving ceremony titled "Tet for the Poor" was held for impoverished households with particularly difficult circumstances in six provinces of North Central Vietnam (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue).

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020 (Year of the Rat), the Military Region Command organized a campaign to mobilize agencies, organizations, political and social groups, businesses, and officers, employees, and salaried personnel in the Military Region's armed forces to contribute and support 1,800 gift packages totaling over 1.4 billion VND, donated to 1,800 poor households with particularly difficult circumstances in the Military Region. Each province received 240 million VND, divided into 300 gift packages, each worth 800,000 VND, including 300,000 VND in cash, rice, and Tet sweets…

These gifts will be handed over to needy households by the Fatherland Front Committees of the six provinces as soon as possible, contributing to helping people enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet.
