Giving Tet gifts to the poor in localities

The District Party Secretary presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Trong Thap, a 2/4 war invalid, whose family is in difficult circumstances in Xuan Son commune.bMrs. Tran Thi Quon is a relative of martyr Nguyen Trong Mai, her family has difficult circumstances in Minh Son commune.

At the families of war invalids and martyrs, the district leaders asked about their health and wished them a Happy New Year, expressing deep gratitude to the families who have made many contributions to the revolutionary cause.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 10 gifts to policy households in Quynh Phuong ward and Quynh Lien commune; each gift is worth 500,000 VND.

Previously, the Provincial Farmers' Association visited, presented gifts and wished a happy new year to 30 policy households and poor farmer members facing difficult circumstances in Yen Thang commune, Tuong Duong district. At the same time, the Association mobilized cadres and members across the province to do practical work to help the poor celebrate the traditional New Year happily and warmly.

The program "Loving Tet" is one of the activities organized by the Red Cross Society of Do Luong district every year in preparation for the traditional Tet holiday of the nation. Through the program, the Society mobilizes, collects donations and supports from organizations and individuals with good hearts to help the poor celebrate Tet.

This year's Canh Ty Spring Love Tet program has given 265 Tet gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to poor and disadvantaged households, lonely elderly people, orphans, disabled children, and poor students who strive to study well in the whole district.

These are very meaningful gifts, demonstrating the spirit of helping each other of the nation, encouraging and helping poor households to have a happy and warm New Year.

*Military Region 4 Commandorganized the "Tet for the Poor" gift giving ceremony for poor households in especially difficult circumstances in 6 North Central provinces (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue).

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020, the Military Region Command mobilized agencies, unions, political and social organizations, businesses, officers, employees, and salary earners in the Military Region's armed forces to contribute and support 1,800 gifts with a total amount of over 1.4 billion VND, to give to 1,800 poor households with especially difficult circumstances in the Military Region. Of which, each province received 240 million VND divided into 300 gifts, each worth 800,000 VND including 300,000 VND in cash, rice, Tet jam...

These gifts will be handed over to disadvantaged households by the Fatherland Front Committees of 6 provinces as soon as possible; contributing to helping people enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet./.
