Presenting the Politburo's Decision approving comrade Thai Thanh Quy to hold the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

On the afternoon of January 31, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee; Secretaries of districts, cities, towns, affiliated Party Committees, heads of provincial departments, branches and mass organizations; Vice Chairman of the People's Council, People's Committee; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

In Decision No. 1776 - QD/TW dated January 20, 2020, the Politburo approved the election results of the Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary for the 2015 - 2020 term for comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Congratulating the new Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Pham Minh Chinh assessed that Comrade Thai Thanh Quy is a young cadre, with basic training, enthusiasm, the will to strive, unite, and contribute to the success of the province in recent times.

Recognizing the ability, enthusiasm, and youthfulness of comrade Thai Thanh Quy and the respect of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Politburo decided to approve him to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Wishing that in the coming years, Nghe An will reach new heights in socio-economic development, worthy of its potential and advantages, the Head of the Central Organization Committee suggested that the new Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, in addition to inheriting and ensuring stability, must take the lead in implementing the motto of innovation and creativity; uphold the spirit of proactiveness, determination, daring to think, daring to do; closely following and proposing the development and implementation of new models and good practices to bring the locality to rapid and sustainable development.

Besides, comrade Pham Minh Chinh suggested that comrade Thai Thanh Quy must continue to be the center of gathering solidarity and unity within the Party and among the people; promote all resources to develop the locality and take care of building a team of talented and virtuous cadres.

Believing that comrade Thai Thanh Quy will perform well the above tasks, the Head of the Central Organizing Committee requested the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to continue to unite, support and help comrade Thai Thanh Quy in his new position.

In his acceptance speech, comrade Thai Thanh Quy sincerely thanked key provincial officials, comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee for trusting and electing him to hold this important responsibility.

Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee and the Central Party Committees for their attention and trust in assigning him the important responsibility of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, succeeding the work of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh, who was assigned by the Party Central Committee to work at the Central Party Office.

The new Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also shared that the assigned task is a great honor, but also a very heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province.

Receiving the assignment, comrade Thai Thanh Quy fully accepted the direction and assigned specific, thorough, dedicated and responsible tasks of comrade Pham Minh Chinh.

These are very important and valuable foundations for the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to immediately concretize immediate and long-term tasks in the process of leadership and direction of work.

The new Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee promised to devote all his mind and strength, to strive for the highest level for the common development of the province; actively improve theoretical level, closely follow reality; cultivate revolutionary ethics; promote the role and responsibility of the leader, maintain and create solidarity and unity in the Standing Committee, Standing Committee, and Provincial Party Executive Committee.

Strictly implement the leadership principles in the Party; inherit and promote the achievements and lessons of the Party Congress terms; the experience of previous comrades to continue to successfully lead the implementation of the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and Notice 55 of the Politburo summarizing 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26 on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020, creating a solid foundation for the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people in the province to enter the new congress term, bringing Nghe An to develop rapidly and sustainably, soon fulfilling Uncle Ho's wish during his lifetime.

Continue to focus on Party building and rectification work in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XI, XII), associated with implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; maintain discipline and order, seriously handle and overcome shortcomings in Party building work that have been pointed out.

Continue to direct the improvement of management and operation capacity of authorities at all levels, promote administrative reform, especially administrative procedures, reorganize the apparatus, streamline the payroll, build a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with professional qualifications and qualities to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period; constantly strengthen the people's trust in the leadership of the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy emphasized: One of the immediate priority tasks will be to focus on directing the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals for 2020, specifically completing the 27 basic targets that have been determined; directing the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels, towards the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress.

In his new position, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy hopes to continue receiving the attention, direction and assistance of the Party Central Committee, Central agencies, departments and branches; especially the support, assistance, sharing, solidarity and unanimity of the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, previous generations of leaders, Party committees at all levels and the political system in the whole province; cadres, party members, compatriots, comrades and colleagues so that he can successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Previously, on December 23, in Hanoi, the Central Party Office held a ceremony to announce Decision No. 1728-QDNS/TW of the Politburo on the transfer and assignment of the position of Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided that comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 14th National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term; transferred and assigned him to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy was born on April 19, 1976, hometown Long Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An; has a PhD in Economics - Politics; Senior in political theory.

Before holding the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, comrade Thai Thanh Quy had held many positions such as: Secretary of the Youth Union of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Civil Agencies (now the Youth Union of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Agencies); Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; Secretary of the Nam Dan District Party Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee's Office, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
