(Baonghean.vn) - Youth organizations and volunteer groups have organized the donation of warm winter coats and blankets to students in the high mountainous communes of Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts.
*In Ky Son district,A volunteer organization in Vinh City, in coordination with the My Ly Border Guard Post and Bac Ly commune in Ky Son district, recently donated 340 life jackets, 400 pairs of student boots, and 100 pairs of teacher gloves to students and teachers at Bac Ly 2 Primary School. The total value of the gifts in the program was nearly 70 million VND.

Heartwarming gifts from philanthropists and charitable organizations help students stay warm at school during the cold winter days.
*On January 1st, in Tuong Duong district,The Youth Union of Quang Son commune (Do Luong district) visited Yen Huong village - the most disadvantaged village in Yen Hoa commune - to give gifts to students and residents in the village.
Currently, Yen Huong village still has electricity, clean water, and a community center, but nearly 80% of households are poor.

On this occasion, the Quang Son Commune Youth Union donated over 2,000 warm jackets and clothes to the children and villagers, one new mattress for the poorest household in the village, 45 warm blankets, 11 boxes of instant noodles, 160 kg of rice for families in the village, along with 24 new school bags, 357 notebooks, and 200 ballpoint pens. The total amount of donations was nearly 44 million VND.
To raise this money, the Quang Son commune youth union organized fundraising activities by collecting scrap materials such as paper, beer cans, plastic, and cement bags; posting appeals for support on the commune's youth union Facebook page and personal accounts; and making widespread announcements through the public address system.
