(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 29th, Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented flowers and awards to two units of the Provincial Police, namely the Economic Police Department (PC46) and the Administrative Management and Social Order Police Department (PC64), for their exceptionally outstanding achievements in preventing and combating violations related to fireworks.

Attending the event were the Deputy Directors of the Provincial Police: Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented a reward of 20 million VND to the Economic Police Department.

Implementing Plan No. 544 of the Provincial People's Committee on preventing and combating acts of smuggling, production, trading, storage, and illegal use of fireworks, and Plan 678 of the Provincial Police on launching a campaign to suppress all types of crimes before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Monkey 2016.

At 5 PM on December 28, 2015, the Weapons, Tools, Explosives, Support Tools, Conditional Business Activities related to Security and Order, and Seals Management Team, under Department PC64, conducted an inspection and caught Nguyen Tien Hanh (born in 1989), residing in Hamlet 2, Quynh Giang Commune, Quynh Luu District, red-handed while transporting 36 firecracker mortars, weighing 54 kg, of foreign origin.

At 8:05 PM on December 28th, at the Tuan An gas station in Hamlet 1, Quynh Ba Commune, Quynh Luu District, the Economic Police Department successfully cracked Case 215C, apprehending Tran Van Khoi (born in 1966), residing in Quynh Ngoc Commune, Quynh Luu District, while he was buying and selling 117 kg of various types of firecrackers, all of foreign origin. Currently, the investigation team is continuing to expand the investigation and consolidate the case file for prosecution.

Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency and Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, presented a reward of 5 million VND to the Economic Police Department.

At 2 PM on December 27, 2015, on National Highway 1A in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, the PC46 Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police successfully cracked Case 1215P, catching two suspects, Nguyen Van Tien (born in 1993), residing in Dien Hong commune (Dien Chau), and Nguyen Van Thang (born in 1997), residing in Hamlet 1, Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district, in the act of transporting and possessing 31 kg of firecrackers.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - praised the achievements of the forces at the awards ceremony.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Comrade Le Xuan Dai assessed this as an exceptionally outstanding achievement. On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Vice Chairman acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Economic Police Department and the Administrative Management and Social Order Police Department of the Provincial Police.

The comrade expressed his hope that in the coming time, the professional units of the Nghe An Provincial Police will continue to closely follow the directives of the Provincial People's Committee to continue the fight against firecracker crimes, a battlefront that, according to assessments, is just as fierce as the fight against drug crimes, in order to bring a truly peaceful Tet holiday to the people.

To promptly encourage the forces, on this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee allocated funds to reward the PC46 Department with 20 million VND and the PC64 Department with 10 million VND. The Nghe An Provincial Police Department decided to reward the PC46 Department and the PC64 Department with 5 million VND each.
