Children in storm- and flood-affected areas of Nghe An province rejoice on the first day of school.

In the gentle autumn sunshine, amidst the joy of the new school year for students nationwide, students in the storm- and flood-affected areas of Nghe An also happily embark on a new academic year.

truong mam non nguyen hue (2) — From early morning, the teachers of Nguyen Hue Kindergarten (Hung Nguyen commune) were present with radiant smiles, dressed in elegant ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), welcoming the amazed, innocent eyes of the children. Tiny hands were held with love, hesitant steps were soothed by gentle voices and affectionate glances. This year, Nguyen Hue Kindergarten has 563 students, with 90 children in the 2-year-old class. With a sense of responsibility and love for their students, the teaching staff promptly repaired, cleaned up, and renovated the classrooms so that the children could return to school on schedule. Châu Nhân — Chau Nhan Commune Kindergarten is located in the flood-prone area of the former Hung Nguyen district, now Lam Thanh commune, where the people still face many difficulties in their lives. However, thanks to the attention of all levels and sectors, the entire community, and practical solutions to improve the quality of childcare, nurturing, and education, the school has received investment in building spacious facilities in recent years.
