Over 7,000 households in Quy Hop are good producers.

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 22, Quy Hop district held a Conference to summarize the emulation movement of farmers in good production and business in the period 2012-2017 with the participation of 70 typical representatives of 7,120 good production and business farming households in the whole district.

Many farmers in Quy Hop get rich with highly efficient agricultural and forestry models.

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Huu Nhi - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Farmers' Union.

In the period of 2012-2017, the Farmers' Association of Quy Hop district mobilized farmer members to register to participate in the movement; build economic development models suitable to the capacity of households and make the most of local advantages. Thanks to that, the movement of farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty has developed in both breadth and depth, becoming a mass movement in rural areas. On average, each year, 7,000 - 8,000 farmer households register to compete.

Through the evaluation of the Association at all levels, in 2016, there were 7,120 households achieving the title of excellent farmer households in production and business at all levels, an increase of 4,640 households compared to 2012; of which 63 households achieved the title at the central level, 237 households at the provincial level, 415 households at the district level and 6,404 households at the grassroots level. Typically, the communes of Minh Hop, Nghia Xuan, Dong Hop, Tam Hop, Chau Quang, Van Loi,... have a high rate of households registering and achieving the title of "Excellent Farmer Household in Production and Business" at all levels.

At the conference, 3 collectives and 21 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the District People's Committee; 6 individuals were elected to attend the Conference to honor typical good farmers and businessmen at the provincial level.
