Over 80,000 tourists visited Nghe An during Tet.

(Baonghean.vn) - According to statistics from the Nghe An Department of Tourism, in January 2017, the number of tourists visiting Nghe An reached 148,000, equivalent to 106% compared to the same period in 2016, including 4,700 international tourists. Total revenue from tourism reached over 136 billion VND.

During the 7-day Lunar New Year holiday of 2017, the total number of tourists in the province was estimated at over 80,000, equivalent to 121% compared to the same period in 2016; the number of overnight stays reached over 31,000, including over 850 international tourists, and total revenue from tourism reached over 36 billion VND.

Some popular tourist destinations during Tet include spiritual tourism sites such as President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace, Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan), Quang Trung Temple (Vinh City), Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Nguyen); and eco-tourism destinations such as the tea plantation island - Cau Cau dam (Thanh Chuong), Muong Thanh Safari (Dien Chau)... attracting thousands of locals and tourists every day.
