Taking advantage of the event being broadcast live on local television, Mr. Tho wanted to send a message to the factors that contributed to the success of Vietnam's and Da Nang's most important foreign affairs event of 2017.
The Chairman of Da Nang stated that APEC 2017 attracted over 4,000 delegates, 3,000 journalists, and 2,000 world-class businesses to the city. The locality successfully coordinated with central government agencies to organize APEC."For almost ten days now, the name Da Nang has resonated, soaring high and spreading far across all major media channels worldwide. This is an opportunity to promote the image of Da Nang to all five continents," Mr. Tho said.
The Chairman of Da Nang acknowledged that during the APEC event, from citizens, officials, civil servants, soldiers to volunteers... everyone braved the rain and wind to join hands in cleaning up and beautifying the streets."We accomplished things nobody thought possible. In the midst of the storm, in just over 10 hours we restored the city to its former beauty, much to the surprise of our friends and international guests," he emphasized.

He requested that districts, departments, and agencies maintain a clean and green environment.
