Implementing the Circular Economy Development Project
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has recently sent a document to localities and departments regarding the effective implementation of the Circular Economy Development Project in Vietnam.
The official document requests that provincial departments, agencies, and branches; and the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns implement the directives of the Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh regarding the implementation of the Circular Economy Development Project in Vietnam, as outlined in Official Letter No. 646/VPCP-KTTH dated January 24, 2025, from the Government Office; and the Provincial People's Committee. Specifically, the following tasks and solutions should be focused on:
* Strengthen the organization of dissemination, thorough understanding, and widespread and in-depth promotion of the content of the Circular Economy Development Project in Vietnam, the National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030 and vision to 2050, and related contents on environmental protection and adaptation to climate change for officials, civil servants, and employees at all levels, the business community, and the people, in order to raise awareness, knowledge, skills, and develop good practices in implementing the circular economy.
* Review and propose to competent authorities further improvements to institutions and policies, and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of the circular economy.
* Implement solutions to develop the green credit and green bond markets; support the development of the consumer market for green and circular economy products; develop human resources; and enhance and promote the application of science and technology.
*Organize the development and issuance of action plans, integrate the circular economy into development strategies, plans, programs, and projects; resolutely and effectively implement the tasks and solutions set out in Decision No. 687/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2022, of the Prime Minister...
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Planning and Investment to summarize and evaluate the situation and results of the implementation of Decision No. 687/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2022, of the Prime Minister on the province's territory; and at the same time, propose recommendations and solutions for the next phase, ensuring continuity, effectiveness, and substance in the implementation process according to the schedule for the summary meeting organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
