Photo exhibition 'The Vietnamese National Assembly - Historical Journeys'

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 6th, in Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district, the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center, in coordination with the Nghi Loc District People's Committee, organized the opening of the photo exhibition: "The Vietnamese National Assembly - Historical Journeys".

Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition on behalf of the province were: Mr. Ho Mau Thanh – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Ho Quang Thanh – Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Head of the Provincial Election Propaganda Committee; and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department. On behalf of Nghi Loc district were members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the District People's Council, leaders of the District People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front, representatives of district-level departments and organizations; and a large number of officials and people from Nghi Trung commune.

Leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Information and Communications, the Cultural Center, and Nghi Loc district cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition.

The exhibition displays 100 representative documentary and news photographs, including 65 photos themed "The Vietnamese National Assembly Through the Ages," aiming to recreate the historical years, activities, and great achievements that the National Assembly and the Vietnamese people have attained over the past 70 years. Particularly noteworthy are the historical milestones and pivotal periods in the 13 terms of the National Assembly.

The theme, "Nghe An and the work of electing National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels," reflects the activities of the Nghe An National Assembly delegation and the Provincial People's Council; some outstanding achievements of Nghe An province during the 2011-2016 term; and the implementation of election work for the 2016-2021 term.

The photo exhibition "The Vietnamese National Assembly - Historical Journeys" is an opportunity for the public to better understand the Vietnamese National Assembly; helping the public, especially the younger generation, to review, inherit, and uphold the patriotic tradition and aspiration for peace, promote the spirit of national unity, be proud of the glorious historical journey of the nation, and express profound gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their lives and blood for the independence, freedom, and reunification of the country.
