On July 27, Bac Giang Provincial Police announced that they had decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, apply preventive measures (temporary detention, ban from leaving the place of residence and temporary suspension of exit) against 10 subjects and continue to expand the investigation to strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.

Specifically, Bac Giang Provincial Police arrested 10 subjects residing in Viet Yen town, including: Nguyen Tuan Anh (born 1989); Do Quang Tuan (born 1998); Nguyen Minh Hieu (born 1997); Do Van La (born 1966); Hoang Van Dong (born 1972); Do Van Vi (born 1989); Than Van Hoa (born 1988); Chu Thuc Vi (born 1981); Chu Quy Nghia (born 1980) and Do Van Nam (born 1999).

Authorities seized 1 desktop computer, 25 mobile phones and many objects and documents related to the case.

During the investigation, the police determined that since May 2024, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Do Van Vi had purchased gambling accounts through the bong88.com system from other subjects and then divided them into subordinate accounts to organize gambling, gambling in the form of football betting.

During major football tournaments around the world, the subjects transacted a total of about 20 billion VND.

In addition, the provincial police force also struggled to clarify gambling behavior in the form of buying and selling lottery numbers of a number of subjects.
