Nguyen Minh Huu's football betting ring had been operating for quite some time. Especially during domestic and international football tournaments, many people flocked to Huu's coffee shop to watch the matches. Nguyen Minh Huu organized these viewing events and enticed many people in the area to participate in football betting, with bets ranging from a minimum of 1 million VND to a maximum of 5-7 million VND.
Huu used the account “88hqlnq81” to log in to the website Cuocbanh88.net to get betting odds.
In response to the situation, the Quỳnh Lưu District Police launched an investigation to identify the individuals involved in this gambling ring. On September 29th, the Criminal, Economic, and Narcotics Investigation Team deployed task forces to raid Nguyễn Minh Hữu's coffee shop, arresting five individuals who were gambling.
