Busting a football betting ring disguised as a coffee shop in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of customers who often come to the coffee shop to watch football, Nguyen Minh Huu, residing in Quynh Luu district, created an account to get football betting odds and organized for people to participate in betting via the Internet.
On October 15, the Investigation Police Agency of Quynh Luu District Police announced that the unit had just dismantled a gambling ring in the form of football betting. The ringleader of this ring was Nguyen Minh Huu (born 1981), residing in Block 3, Cau Giat Town, Quynh Luu District, owner of a coffee shop in the area.

Nguyen Minh Huu's football betting line has been operating for quite a long time. Especially during domestic and international football tournaments, many people come to Huu's coffee shop to watch football matches. Nguyen Minh Huu organized football matches and attracted many people in the area to participate in football betting, the least was 1 million VND, the highest was from 5 to 7 million VND.
Huu uses the account “88hqlnq81” to log in to the website Cuocbanh88.net to get betting odds.
Faced with the above situation, Quynh Luu District Police have begun investigating and verifying the subjects in this network. On September 29, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic and drug crimes deployed working groups to raid Nguyen Minh Huu's coffee shop, arresting 5 subjects in the act of gambling. The subjects include: Nguyen Minh Huu; Vu Xuan Giang (born 1984); Le Xuan Hoang (born 1983); Hoang Van Viet (born 1982), all residing in Cau Giat town, and Nguyen Phi Cong (born 1984), residing in Hamlet 18, Quynh Lam commune. The police force seized 1 phone and more than 30 million VND in cash.

Through the struggle, the subjects confessed all their crimes.
Through the account of Huu Lap, the subjects will participate in betting on the Internet. On average, each day, the subjects participate in football betting about 30 million VND, especially on Saturdays, more subjects participate because of the English Premier League.
Initially, Quynh Luu District Police proved that the amount of money the subjects bet on football in 2 days (September 28-29) was 106 million VND.
Currently, the case is still under investigation.
