Authorities dismantled an inter-provincial drug trafficking ring, seizing over 1 ton of evidence.
Based on information from two individuals suspected of organizing and using illegal drugs at a hotel, the police successfully dismantled an inter-provincial drug trafficking ring, arresting 30 suspects and seizing over 1 ton of various types of drugs.

On June 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency announced that, following the discovery of two individuals suspected of organizing and illegally using narcotics at a hotel in Dong Thanh commune (Ho Chi Minh City), the police force traced each link and successfully dismantled a large-scale inter-provincial and inter-regional drug trafficking ring, arresting 30 suspects and seizing various types of evidence.
According to initial information, in early June 2026, the Dong Thanh commune police conducted a surprise inspection of a hotel in the area and discovered two individuals engaging in the illegal use of narcotics.
Through investigation, the police discovered that behind this group of suspects there was also a large-scale network supplying drugs, vehicles, and tools for criminal activities.

Based on the initial documents and information gathered, the police force focused on reviewing and comparing multiple sources of information, gradually clarifying the modus operandi, patterns of transportation, storage, and consumption of drugs by the suspects.
Following a period of intensive investigation and pursuit, task forces simultaneously deployed and arrested 30 individuals involved in the illegal organization and use of narcotics, illegal trafficking of narcotics, illegal possession of narcotics, buying and selling of means and tools used for the illegal use of narcotics, and illegal use of narcotics.
During searches of the related locations, authorities seized nearly 1 kg of methamphetamine, 5.5 liters of liquid containing narcotics; 2 cars, 5 motorcycles; 48 weighing scales; 37 mobile phones; computers, data hard drives, printers, plastic molding machines, and many other assets and pieces of evidence.

Continuing the investigation, the task forces seized more than 12,000 glass bottles, pipes, and tubes of various types; approximately 550 kg of nylon bags used for packaging drugs; more than 500 specialized tools for dividing drugs such as shovels, scissors, alloy files, scoops, along with hundreds of cardboard boxes used for packaging and transportation.
According to the investigating agency, verification results show that this is not only an illegal drug trafficking ring but also a network providing means, tools, and conditions to support criminal activities, from drug supply, storage, packaging, and transportation to providing tools for the illegal use of drugs.
The case is currently being investigated and processed by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency in accordance with the law.
