Authorities dismantled a firework trafficking ring, seizing 220kg of fireworks in Quan Thanh commune.
The Quan Thanh Commune Police and the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (QLHC về TTXH) jointly led an operation to successfully dismantle a ring involved in the illegal trafficking of prohibited goods, arresting two suspects and seizing 220kg of firecrackers.
Accordingly, at approximately 11 PM on December 30, 2025, the Special Task Force of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order and Security, along with the Quan Thanh Commune Police, caught Le Khac Hung (born in 1995, residing in Bac Phuong Son hamlet, Quan Thanh commune) red-handed for illegally possessing 7 firework mortars (each containing 49 firecrackers).

During a swift interrogation at the scene, Le Khac Hung confessed to buying the fireworks from Le Dinh Duong (born in 1994), who lives in the same neighborhood as Hung. A subsequent urgent search of Le Dinh Duong's house resulted in the seizure of 130 firework mortars (each containing 49 firecrackers). The total seized evidence included 137 firework mortars weighing 220 kg.

At the investigative agency, Le Khac Duong confessed to buying fireworks from the South and then dividing them into smaller quantities for retail sale to make a profit.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department is finalizing the case files to prosecute the two individuals in accordance with the law.
