On September 7th, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (Hanoi City Police) announced that it had coordinated with relevant agencies to dismantle a specialized network.Hundreds of weapons are being offered for sale openly., a dangerous tool for online communication.

Previously, through intelligence gathering, the police discovered a website openly posting images and information advertising the sale of various weapons and support tools such as telescopic batons, stun guns, daggers, pepper spray, etc.
These items pose a potential risk to social security and order, so they are immediately placed under monitoring and verification.

On August 26th, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, in coordination with the Vinh Hung Ward Police, conducted a surprise administrative inspection of a suspected location.

Here, law enforcement officers discovered and seized a large quantity of weapons and supporting tools, including: 153 telescopic batons, 490 knives of various types, 14 pen-shaped knives, 3 stun guns with 9 bullets, 9 electric batons, 15 metal nunchucks, 141 cans of pepper spray… All confiscated items will be used for investigation purposes.
The Hanoi City Police are currently investigating the roles of the individuals involved in the ring and will strictly handle the case according to the law.
