Previously, through the investigation, the police discovered a website publicly posting images and information for sale of many types of weapons and support tools such as batons, electric guns, daggers, pepper spray, etc.
These items pose a potential risk to security and social order and should be immediately put under surveillance and verification.
On August 26, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department coordinated with Vinh Hung Ward Police to conduct a surprise administrative inspection of a suspicious location.
Here, the authorities discovered and seized a large amount of weapons and supporting tools including: 153 three-section sticks, 490 knives of various types, 14 pen-shaped knives, 3 electric guns with 9 bullets, 9 electric batons, 15 metal nunchakus, 141 pepper sprays, etc. All evidence was seized to serve the investigation.
Currently, Hanoi City Police are continuing to clarify the roles of related subjects in the network and strictly handle them according to the law.
