Authorities announced they have just dismantled a gambling den, catching 18 people red-handed gambling using the "xoc dia" (dice shaking) method.
Earlier, at around 1 AM on February 8th (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year of the Pig), the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police raided a gambling den, catching 18 individuals red-handed gambling using the "xoc dia" (dice shaking) method at the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung (born in 1957 in Hoang Tan commune, Hoang Hoa district).

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, initial investigations revealed that the ringleader of this gambling den was Cao Dinh Binh (born in 1981, the son of Mrs. Chung).
Taking advantage of the Lunar New Year holiday, Binh organized gambling sessions at his house for gamblers in Hoang Hoa district.
