Authorities dismantled an ecstasy drug manufacturing 'factory'.

On December 11th, the Drug Crime Investigation Department (PC47) of the Hai Phong City Police announced that they are temporarily detaining Khuc Thi Minh Trang (33 years old, residing in Hong Bang district) and Nguyen Dinh Hung (43 years old, residing in Ngo Quyen district) for investigation into the illegal possession, buying, selling, and production of narcotics.

Previously, on December 9th, the PC47 unit of the Hai Phong City Police, in coordination with Customs forces, raided house number 3/295 Tran Nguyen Han (Le Chan district), catching Nguyen Dinh Hung red-handed for illegally possessing and producing narcotics. During a quick search, the police seized 400 white tablets, a plastic tray containing a cloudy white powder, a nylon bag containing cloudy white crystals, a pill press, a ecstasy powder grinder, and other related evidence.

This location served as Hung's "workshop" for manufacturing ecstasy pills, with the equipment and materials supplied by Trang.

At the same time, another reconnaissance team inspected and apprehended Khuc Thi Minh Trang for illegally possessing narcotics. At Trang's residence, the police seized two nylon bags containing white crystals, three boxes of crystals weighing 10 kg, three mobile phones, an electronic scale, and other related evidence.

According to PC47, the ring specializing in storing and producing ecstasy pills for drug trafficking and synthetic drug use hotspots was led by Trang. Trang and Hung conspired and coordinated to produce ecstasy pills for profit. Trang prepared the raw materials, pressing machines, drying machines, and grinding machines, equipping Hung to directly "process" and press the pills into ecstasy tablets, packaging them for sale to distributors.

The police have now requested expert examination of the seized evidence to strengthen the case file and are continuing to expand the investigation to apprehend related individuals.
