Eliminated many online gambling dens and groups disguised as coffee shops
On the morning of December 20, the Police Department has just dismantled many online gambling dens and groups with evidence worth up to billions of VND, thereby arresting related subjects to handle the act of "Organizing gambling".
Previously, the Criminal Police Team (CSHS) of Hue City Police inspected a coffee shop at kiosk 112 of Bai Dau apartment complex (Phu Hau ward, Hue city).
Here, the police caught Ha Manh Huy (born in 1988) and Nguyen Van Cong Thanh (born in 1997, both living on Nguyen Gia Thieu Street, Phu Hau Ward, Hue City) red-handed organizing gambling in the form of football betting over the internet.

At the time of the inspection, Huy and Thanh were organizing 40 bets with a total of 1,328 points, equivalent to more than 66 million VND. Initially, the police determined that from December 6 to the time of their arrest, these two subjects had organized online football betting for gamblers with a total amount of about 2 billion VND.
Next, the Hue City Police Department's Criminal Investigation Team inspected two coffee shops in the area. At coffee shop No. 153 Tang Bat Ho (Tay Loc Ward, Hue City) owned by Truong Nhat Binh (born in 1990), they discovered that Binh was organizing gamblers to gamble with a total amount of money in his online account of more than 200 million VND.

At the coffee shop at 14 Nguyen Ham Ninh (Phu Hau ward, Hue city), the Criminal Police Team discovered that Nguyen Van Y (born in 1992, residing in Huong So ward, Hue city) organized gambling in the form of online football betting for 2 subjects with the gambling evidence of 166 million VND. Expanding the investigation, the police discovered that from December 6 to the time of his arrest, Nguyen Van Y had organized gambling with a total amount of more than 516 million VND.
Currently, Hue City Police are expanding their investigation into the above mentioned internet gambling rings.
