Recalling 1,559 BMW X5 luxury SUVs with errors
Approximately 1,559 BMW X5 luxury SUVs manufactured between January 30, 2013 and June 29, 2013 have faulty taillights.
In a recent announcement from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ), BMW is currently recalling nearly 1,559 imported BMW X5 SUVs in China to fix taillight errors.

The recall campaign to fix the problem will start on July 28. A total of 1,559 BMW X5 crossover SUVs affected were manufactured between January 30, 2013 and June 29, 2013.
The reason for this recall is that the taillights of these vehicles do not emit enough light at night, making it difficult for drivers to see behind, potentially posing a safety risk to vehicles behind.
The company is currently actively notifying each customer with affected vehicles to inspect and replace the defective taillights completely free of charge.
Not long ago, BMW also issued a recall for repairs on more than 86,000 X5 and X6 crossover SUVs here due to a driveshaft defect.
