According to a recent announcement from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), consumers are being warned about a defect in the brake lights of the Audi Q3 luxury car model. A total of approximately 2,600 vehicles are affected, manufactured between June 2014 and November 2016 for the Australian market.
The reason given is that when the emergency braking function, activated via the electromechanical parking brake (EPB), is used, the rear brake lights will not illuminate. In many cases, this malfunction can be dangerous for the driver as well as other road users.

Audi Australia has notified affected customers to have their vehicles checked and updated to restore the emergency braking function completely free of charge. However, Audi has not yet recorded any accidents related to this issue.
In the Vietnamese market, the Audi Q3 is priced at approximately 1.7 billion VND. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter TFSI 4-cylinder gasoline engine, direct fuel injection, a regenerative braking system (REB), and a start-stop system that shuts off the engine when the vehicle is temporarily stopped. It also features Quattro all-wheel drive and a 7-speed S-tronic transmission.
The Audi Q3 delivers a maximum power output of 211 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque in the 1,800 - 4,900 rpm range. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h. Thanks to the application of a range of the latest technologies, the Q3 also boasts a very modest fuel consumption of 7.7 liters/100 km.
