North Korea releases seized Russian yacht

Authorities in North Korea's Hamgyong Province informed Russian diplomats that the Russian yacht "Elfin" detained yesterday has been allowed to leave the DPRK, Russian Consul General in the city of Chongjin Yuriy Bochkarev told Sputnik.

Earlier, he met with leaders of the Hamgyong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office (SHI) to work on the detained ship case.

“They said there was a permit to leave the port and the country, but there was no other explanation,” Mr. Bochkarev said.

Meanwhile, the weather is not favorable for cruise ships to leave Kimchaek port.
