The central task in the five-year development plan.

In a report submitted to the General Directorate of Missiles, Kim Jong Un emphasized that increasing production capacity through annual growth is a task of particular importance. According to Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers' Party of North Korea, the leader requested that this expansion of production capacity be included on the agenda of the upcoming Second Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee of the Party.

Notably, North Korean defense enterprises have completed their plans to produce key weapons for the first half of 2026 ahead of schedule. These facilities are now accelerating preparations to ensure production levels are maintained for the second half of the year.

Direct inspections and guidance at defense industrial facilities demonstrate Pyongyang's determination to increase its deterrence capabilities through precision-guided weapons and multi-stage missile systems.
