In a series of articles, Rodong Sinmun has continuously updated information about the success of the inspection of Pyongyang's strategic weapons preparations. The newspaper affirmed that "the 'G' hour for North Korea to launch ICBMs has come".
"The missile test will certainly be successful. Its results will prove the failure of the US's 'hostile policy' towards North Korea," the Rodong newspaper emphasized.
North Korea’s successful missile tests demonstrate an unprecedented level of performance for a missile, meaning that North Korea will have an ICBM within just one year, instead of the expected five years.
The newspaper said that Washington "will not dare to start a war with a country rich in nuclear weapons and ICBMs". The North Korean government will sooner or later launch intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads that can reach the US. - North Korean representative spoke at the Asia Security Summit (Shangri-La) in Singapore in early June 2017.

Experts around the world believe that North Korea now possesses medium-range nuclear missiles that can hit South Korea, Japan and US troops stationed in the region. North Korea's nuclear doctrine is to use nuclear weapons first and foremost if it believes an attack on them is imminent.
If US President Donald Trump acts carelessly, North Korea could launch and wage a second Korean War. It is not easy to launch a preemptive strike against North Korea because the country currently has a vast network of tunnels and hundreds of mobile missile launchers.
