The video begins with footage of North Korea’s April 15 military parade marking the 105th birthday of late leader Kim Il-sung, followed by images of US aircraft carriers, strategic bombers and other armored vehicles placed in the simulated crosshairs of North Korean ship-to-ship missiles and Scud missiles.

In the video, US aircraft carriers appear to be on fire after being attacked by North Korean missiles. Below the video is a caption: "The moment when the enemy begins to provoke and provoke."

The video was released amid escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula, with the US and North Korea exchanging barbs. Pyongyang has warned it is ready to sink the USS Carl Vinson, the lead ship of a US strike group sent to the Korean peninsula.

Last week, North Korea also released a similar video simulating a missile attack on the United States on the screen of an art performance celebrating the birthday of leader Kim Il-sung. The missile in the video is believed to be a medium-range ballistic missile, the missile is simulated flying over the Pacific Ocean and attacking a US city.
