"We've seen this in the past," Demba Ba said on the radio.RMC(France) "Working with Mourinho is very, very tiring because he always demands a lot. He tries to push the players to their limits to see what they are capable of."
"Mourinho isn't someone who can build confidence in players. He's an exploiter, taking the best from them. If a player loses confidence, Mourinho will choose someone else who has what he wants. Players under Mourinho have to learn to regain their form on their own, otherwise they should get used to the bench."
Demba Ba had a season playing under Mourinho when the Portuguese manager returned to Chelsea. The Senegalese striker made 29 appearances and scored eight goals before being sold to Besiktas. Demba Ba currently plays for the Chinese team Shanghai Shenhua.
Chelsea have decided to part ways with Mourinho after a terrible start to the season. Owner Roman Abramovich was very patient with Mourinho but decided to act when the team was just one point above the relegation zone.
Mourinho's departure stemmed from the decline in form of several key players who had won the league title with him the previous season. This led to suspicions that Chelsea players deliberately tried to "oust" their manager.
