Support for farmers to improve their quality of life.
Thanks to loans from the Social Policy Bank, many members of farmers' associations in Nghe An province have been empowered to develop their economy and improve their quality of life. Policy credit has effectively contributed to the successful achievement of economic and social development goals and the building of the province's political system.
Maximizing the effectiveness of capital resources.
Determined to escape poverty, Mr. Ha Van Hau from Dong Chua hamlet, Nghia Dan commune, boldly borrowed 100 million VND from the job creation program in 2023 to invest in a buffalo breeding model, starting with 3 mother buffaloes.
Thanks to dedicated care, after two years, the buffalo herd has increased to five animals. Although market prices are sometimes volatile, the high quality of the buffaloes has ensured a stable market for his family, with prices ranging from 17 to 20 million VND per animal when sold.
Economically speaking, the model generates a net profit of 70-80 million VND per year, including income from fertilizer. "Thanks to this loan, I have the opportunity to develop my family's economy, build auxiliary facilities, and invest in my children's education," Mr. Hau happily stated, expressing his gratitude to the Farmers' Association of the commune for providing technical support and methods for disease prevention.

Also in Nghia Dan commune, in 2024, Ms. Nguyen Thi Than's family accessed a 50 million VND loan from the clean water and sanitation program. Thanks to this preferential loan, combined with the family's matching funds, Ms. Than invested in building a bathroom, a septic toilet, and drilling a well, ensuring a hygienic living environment.
Mr. Le Hong Tuyen, Director of the Nghia Dan branch of the Social Policy Bank, said: "Loan capital has helped farmer members invest in building livestock barns, purchasing plant and animal breeds, adding capital for production and business, and constructing sanitation and clean water facilities... This has helped change perceptions and farming practices, reduce costs and labor, and increase economic efficiency in agricultural production. To replicate such effective models, the Nghia Dan Social Policy Bank always cooperates with farmers' associations in the communes, working alongside farmers, assigning capable staff to regularly guide and inspect the use of loan capital for the right purposes and urging timely debt repayment. Thanks to this close management, the Savings and Loan groups operate effectively, borrowers use capital for the right purposes, and there are no overdue debts."

In Bich Hao commune, the economic development story of Mr. Nguyen Phung Hung's household in Hamlet 1 (formerly Thanh Tung commune) is a vivid example of the effectiveness of policy-based capital. Starting a livestock business faced numerous difficulties, especially a lack of capital. Mr. Hung's family found a way out thanks to a 50 million VND preferential loan from the Thanh Chuong Social Policy Bank in 2021. He used this capital to buy two cows and two buffaloes for breeding.
Capital acted as a "boost," giving Mr. Hung the confidence to invest in breeding cattle. By 2023, the model was developing well, and Mr. Hung continued to borrow an additional 50 million VND from the near-poor household program to expand the scale of production and breeding. As a result, the cattle herd thrived, bringing in a stable annual income of over 100 million VND.
Not only did the Social Policy Bank's capital help the family escape poverty, but it also fueled the educational dreams of Mr. Hung's children through a 40 million VND student loan package. Thanks to this comprehensive support, Mr. Hung's family has risen strongly, becoming a well-off household with a stable life and a brighter future.
