The Yen Thanh District Police are continuing to investigate and prosecute Nguyen Thanh Binh (born in 1984), residing in Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, for evading an arrest warrant for theft.

Previously, on March 4, 2015, Binh, along with Nguyen Sy Linh (resident of Yen Thanh district), broke into the house of Ms. Tran Thi Than in Hau Thanh commune and broke open a safe, stealing 25 taels of gold and 3 million dong.
When the authorities launched an investigation and apprehended Linh, Binh fled the area. Subsequently, the Yen Thanh District Police issued a nationwide arrest warrant for Binh for the crime of theft.
Recently, the Fugitive Apprehension Unit (PC52) of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with other authorities, arrested Binh while he was on the run from a warrant and working as a laborer in Di An District, Binh Duong Province. Binh was then handed over to the Yen Thanh District Police for investigation and processing according to regulations.
Specifically, Nguyen Sy Linh was sentenced by the Yen Thanh District People's Court to 5 years and 6 months in prison for theft.
