On the morning of October 9, Colonel Nguyen The Nghiep, Head of the Criminal Police Department (Quang Nam Provincial Police) said that authorities are searching for the thief who broke in and stole more than ten taels of gold and cash from a family that sells construction materials in Tra Mai commune, Nam Tra My district.
According to authorities, on October 2, while the homeowner was away, the thieves cut two layers of B40 iron and broke two locks to break into the house. Initially, they took some food from the refrigerator, but then discovered that there was a safe in the bedroom and tried to break it open.

The thief moved the safe 30 meters behind the house and used some tools to break it open. According to the report, the total value of the stolen assets was about more than half a billion VND, including 11 taels of gold and 100 million VND.
