Stealing relatives' property and then renting a hotel to enjoy

(Baonghean.vn) - After stealing a motorbike, a laptop and jewelry, Tin asked someone to sell them for him and then used the money to rent a hotel room, eat, sleep and play video games.

On the afternoon of April 15, Dien Chau District Police said they had just clarified a property theft case in which the subject was only 15 years old but acted very recklessly.

Because they are familiar with each other and often visit each other, Phan Trung Tin (born in 2002, residing in Trung Hong hamlet, Dien Hong commune) knows the living schedule as well as the location of the house key of Ms. Pham Thi Lan's family in hamlet 5, Dien Thap commune (Dien Chau).

At around 8pm on April 6, while Lan’s family was away, Tin broke into the house. He entered the bedroom and used a hammer and pliers to break the safe lock, but was unsuccessful.

Next, Tin ransacked the house and took a motorbike, a laptop and some gold jewelry.

After stealing the property, Tin ran to Dien Truong commune and asked Dung (residing in Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau) and Nguyen (residing in Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau) to sell the motorbike and laptop for 6.5 million VND.

With this money, Tin rented a room in a hotel to eat, sleep and play video games for many days in a row.

After receiving Ms. Lan's report, the police cordoned off the area and searched for clues. After several days of searching, the police had enough evidence to confirm that Tin was the one who committed the theft, so they persuaded Tin to turn himself in.

At the police station, Tin honestly confessed his crime. Tin comes from a poor family and because of his promiscuous lifestyle, he dropped out of school a long time ago.

The police are completing the documents to handle the subjects according to regulations.
