At the Hanoi bridge, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and directed the conference. Attending were Politburo members, Central Party Secretaries, leaders of socio-political organizations, central departments, ministries and branches; standing committees, Party committees and leaders of the Mass Mobilization Commissions of provincial and municipal Party Committees, and Party committees directly under the Central Government.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc acknowledged and commended the achievements in mass mobilization work, and acknowledged the efforts of the mass mobilization team from the central to local levels.

The Prime Minister requested ministries and local agencies to seriously develop plans to implement the Party's directives and resolutions on mass mobilization work. Continue to perfect the system of legal policies related to human rights and legitimate interests of the people. Carry out dialogue, receive people, and resolve complaints and denunciations well. Each cadre, civil servant, and party member must be responsible for listening to people, speaking so that people understand, and making people believe. Innovate in evaluating cadres, civil servants, and public employees, in which the level of people's satisfaction with the service of cadres is used as a measure to evaluate cadres' capacity.

"After this conference, all levels of government must have implementation plans and specific action programs to carry out the focus of mass mobilization work in 2018, which is mass mobilization of the government," emphasized comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Chairing at Nghe An bridge point were comrades: Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Manh Khoi - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee. Attending were representatives of the Mass Mobilization Committees of districts, cities and towns.

Previously, at the conference, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization reported on important results, advantages, difficulties and limitations in mass mobilization work at all levels; and the situation that needs attention in mass mobilization work in ethnic minority and religious areas.

In 2017, the mass mobilization work of the entire political system had positive changes and achieved many important results. The Politburo and the Secretariat issued and directed the implementation of many policies, resolutions, decisions and major projects on mass mobilization work in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 11th and 12th Central Committees. All levels and sectors continued to implement Resolution 25-NQ/TW on mass mobilization work in conjunction with the implementation of local political tasks.

Emphasizing the key directions and tasks of 2018 with the theme "Year of Government Mass Mobilization", the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization requested localities to continue to innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization work according to the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, Resolution 24-NQ/TW of the 11th Central Executive Committee on "Strengthening and innovating the Party's leadership over mass mobilization work in the new situation"; building a clean and strong political system; consolidating the great national unity bloc, strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the people.

At the conference, comrade Truong Thi Mai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission awarded the First Class Independence Medal to comrade Ngo Thi Doan Thanh - Member of the 11th Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission; presented a souvenir to comrade Thao Xuan Sung - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission who was assigned to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

Focus on mobilizing and rallying people of all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies, compete to develop production and business, and strive to fulfill the socio-economic development goals and plans for 2018 and the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

Accordingly, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization set out 10 key tasks and solutions for the implementation of work in 2018, focusing on the following contents: promoting government mass mobilization work, improving the effectiveness of mass mobilization work of state agencies at all levels; grasping the situation, building and implementing grassroots democracy regulations; advising on effective implementation of mass mobilization work for ethnic minority areas and areas with religious minorities; strengthening inspection, supervision and urging the implementation of Party resolutions and directives on mass mobilization work at all levels and sectors.

The conference also listened to the speeches and comments of comrade Tran Thanh Man - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on 6 issues of concern for mass mobilization work; speeches of units and localities: Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Hoa Binh, Bac Lieu; General Department of Politics; Vietnam Confederation of Labor.
