They stockpiled nearly 100 kg of firecrackers at home to use during Tet (Lunar New Year).
(Baonghean.vn) - While Tung was preparing to deliver fireworks to a customer, the police raided his house and caught him red-handed. During a search of Tung's house, the police seized nearly 900 kg of various types of fireworks.
Through intelligence gathering, the Tan Ky District Police discovered a ring involved in the illegal buying and selling of firecrackers in Tan Ky District and Thai Hoa Town, so they launched a special investigation to combat it.
At 10 PM on October 31st, the Tan Ky District Police, in coordination with the Thai Hoa Town Police, caught Thai Khac Tung (born in 1980, residing in Nghia Thuan Commune, Thai Hoa Town) red-handed right in front of his house as he was preparing to transport 24 boxes of fireworks for sale.

During a search of the suspect's residence, police seized an additional 1,700 firecrackers, 15 large firecrackers, 24 boxes of 36-firecracker fireworks, and 6 strings of firecrackers. The total weight of fireworks seized from the suspect was nearly 90 kg.
During questioning at the investigative agency, Thai Khac Tung confessed that he bought the fireworks from an individual in Dien Chau district and then brought them home to store for use during the 2020 Lunar New Year.
The investigation into this case is currently ongoing and being expanded.
