Russian Mi-24 helicopter encountered unidentified flying object?

A Russian Mi-24 military helicopter encountered an unidentified flying object over Moscow. The approach was dangerously close, but no collision occurred.

RIA FAN news site on January 2 quoted an anonymous source in a Russian flight coordination agency as saying that the incident happened on December 12, 2016, however, the information has only now been revealed.

Accordingly, a Mi-24 helicopter was flying along the route Sochi - Rostov-on-Don - Voronezh - Chkalovsky, to the airspace of the capital Moscow, an unidentified flying object suddenly glowed at a distance of about 2km from the Mi-24.

The object then turned towards the Mi-24, moving at high speed and just a few seconds later approaching the Mi-24 at a dangerous level.

The source also said that no collision occurred and there were no casualties in the unexpected incident.
