Military helicopter crashes into residential area in Japan.
A Japanese Self-Defense Force (SDF) helicopter crashed into a residential area in Saga Prefecture, police said.
NHK, citing the Japanese Ministry of Defense, reported that the incident occurred in Kanzaki City. The helicopter involved was a Boeing AH-64 attack helicopter, belonging to a base in Kumamoto Prefecture.

According to the Kanzaki city government, a house near the kindergarten caught fire after a helicopter crashed into it. Fortunately, no students were affected, the kindergarten principal said.
Currently, city authorities have dispatched personnel and firefighters to investigate the situation.
Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said he was aware of the accident and that he wanted to confirm the information in order to respond appropriately.
