Drug kingpin sets up drug trafficking camp, fires back at police.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghe An Provincial Police dismantled a drug trafficking ring operating with firearms in the border area of Tuong Duong district, arresting one suspect and seizing 3.5 blocks of heroin, 4,500 methamphetamine pills, 0.5 kg of crystal methamphetamine, and various military weapons.
Recently, on the summit of Pù Kẽm mountain, in Xốp Pu village, Yên Na commune, Tương Dương district, a number of Laotian Hmong individuals, in collusion with Vietnamese people, have set up camps and used firearms to organize the illegal trafficking of narcotics. During their operations, these individuals always station guards, ready to use weapons to resist law enforcement if discovered and apprehended.

In response to this situation, the Provincial Police leadership directed the Drug Crime Investigation Department to coordinate with the Tuong Duong District Police to establish Special Case 616H to combat and eradicate the drug trafficking ring.
At 5:00 AM on July 25th, the special task force decided to crack the case and organized a raid on the illegal drug trafficking camps. During the pursuit, the suspects fiercely resisted with firearms in an attempt to escape.
