Trump will meet with Putin before taking office.

Candidate Donald Trump made this statement in an interview with popular radio host Michael Savage.
Trump told MC Savage that the current American leadership, as well as his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, have been too aggressive toward Russian President Putin.
“They’re constantly insulting him. I mean, it’s no wonder Putin can’t stand Obama and Clinton,” Trump said, emphasizing that these were “very serious tensions.”
"This is the worst situation between the U.S. and Russia since the end of the Cold War," he said.
Trump further commented, "She (Hillary) shouldn't be so tough and obstinate when it comes to Russia." As he has stated many times, Trump once again suggested that Russia could be an ally in the fight against the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS).
He added: "If I win on November 8th, I might have a meeting with President Putin before the start of my term."
The Democratic Party often attacks candidate Donald Trump for his statements regarding Russian President Putin, whom Trump describes as a stronger leader than U.S. President Barack Obama.
Mr. Trump, who has refused to release his tax returns publicly, has denied any business interests gained in Russia.
Trump also refused to acknowledge accusations from U.S. intelligence officials that Russian hackers attacked the Democratic National Committee under the direction of Kremlin leaders.
However, aside from possible meetings with Russian President Putin, Trump has not offered a specific strategy for dealing with Moscow.
