According to the source, two tests of the new DF-17 missile took place on November 1 and 15. The source clarified that the test was successful, and the missile "hit the target with an accuracy of several meters."
According to US intelligence, the DF-17 is a medium-range missile with a range of 1,800km to 2,500km. This missile is capable of carrying nuclear and non-nuclear cargo, as well as aircraft, and can also be equipped with a mobile warhead.
US intelligence believes the DF-17 is based on the DF-16B short-range missile. The Chinese government has not officially announced the test.
