China successfully tests its first electric aircraft.
The RX1E-A, an upgraded version of China's first "Made in China" electric aircraft, successfully completed its test flight at Caihu Airport in Shenyang, Liaoning Province on November 1st.
This aircraft will be destined for promising markets in the US and Europe.

The RX1E-A is a two-seater aircraft entirely designed by Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (China). After upgrading the capacity and features of the battery pack, as well as optimizing the design, the RX1E-A reaches a maximum speed of 160 km/h and can fly continuously for two hours, compared to about 45 minutes of the previous version.
The RX1E-A can be widely used in many fields such as pilot training, passenger transportation, tourism, and surveying.

In particular, the new parachute system will significantly improve safety for both pilots and aircraft. The design team stated that normally, in the event of an in-flight incident, pilots have two options: emergency landing or parachuting, but both methods can cause serious damage or complete destruction to the aircraft.
However, the RX1E-A gives pilots the additional option of using a parachute to land the aircraft on the ground. This feature not only greatly enhances pilot safety but also protects the aircraft.

In addition, being fully electric, the RX1E-A emits absolutely no air pollutants, produces very little noise, and has low production costs.
The mass production line for the RX1E – an older version of the aforementioned aircraft – has been operational since 2016.
