The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union pays tribute to those who have rendered meritorious services in Nghe An.

In anticipation of the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, on the afternoon of July 25th, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, led by Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to war invalids, former youth volunteers, and families of policy beneficiaries facing difficult circumstances in Nghe An province.

Joining the delegation were Comrade Nguyen Thi Thom - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

In Vinh Loc ward, the delegation visited the Nghe An War Invalids Rehabilitation Center, which is currently managing and treating 83 war invalids, 18 relatives of meritorious individuals, and 5 retired officials with disabilities.

Here, the delegation presented 106 gifts worth a total of 111 million VND, demonstrating deep concern and contributing to the care of the material and spiritual lives of those who have sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland.

Next, the delegation visited the family of Mr. Le Van Uyen, 96 years old, in Vinh Phu ward. Mr. Uyen is a former Youth Volunteer who participated in the Dien Bien Phu front and has been a Party member for nearly 60 years.

Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam visited and inquired about the health of former youth volunteers and their families, and presented gifts from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, expressing gratitude for the great contributions of the previous generation in the two resistance wars.

Later that afternoon, the delegation visited Kim Lien commune to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "House of Compassion" for the family of Mr. Bien Van Ut, born in 1947. Mr. Ut's family is classified as a particularly disadvantaged family: Mr. Ut himself is a victim of Agent Orange, his wife is bedridden due to illness, and his son is also severely affected by the lingering effects of chemical toxins.

The delegation, along with the sponsoring unit, presented 80 million VND to support Mr. Ut's family in rebuilding a more solid house. This is a practical action by the youth and the community in social welfare work, sharing the burden with disadvantaged policy beneficiary families, and expressing gratitude to those who contributed to the cause of national liberation and nation building.
