Defender Ho Khac Luong successfully underwent surgery for an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

After waiting for the procedures to be completed and the injury to stabilize, on November 29th, central defender Ho Khac Luong underwent surgery on his right anterior cruciate ligament at the Central Military Hospital 108.

The surgery was completed that same morning, and as of today, November 30th, the number 15 center-back of Song Lam Nghe An is able to eat, drink, and take care of his personal hygiene normally. The defender stated that he will be able to begin rehabilitation training about a week after the surgery and hopes to return to the field within 6 to 9 months.

It is understood that all the costs of central defender Ho Khac Luong's surgery were covered by Song Lam Nghe An.

In a match in the second round of the V.League 2023/24, when Song Lam Nghe An faced Hong Linh Ha Tinh, in the 29th minute, from a not-so-aggressive situation, Ho Khac Luong suffered a serious injury. Specifically, from an attack on the left wing by Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Phi Son received the ball, and Ho Khac Luong approached from behind. The tackle by the Song Lam Nghe An center-back caused him to suffer an injury, and coach Phan Nhu Thuat was forced to substitute him.

In the 2023/24 season, after Song Lam Nghe An's defense lost several key players, Ho Khac Luong was considered one of the central defenders trusted by the coaching staff. In the 3-5-2 formation built by coach Phan Nhu Thuat, Khac Luong and Mario were the two central defenders chosen to start in the first two matches of the new season. Although his physique wasn't ideal, Khac Luong is a player with a fierce playing style, good tackling, and always knows how to choose the right position to clear the ball when the opponent puts pressure on his team's half.
